"American photographer Robert Adams has been awarded the 2006 Deutsche Börse Photography Prize for his exhibition Turning Back ツ– A Photographic Journal of Re-exploration, which shows deforestation and environmental destruction in Oregon. [...] Adams said he was donating his 」30,000 ($52,300) prize to Human Rights Watch, a social justice organization. 'However concerned I am about the environment, I'm even more concerned at the moment with a collapse in human decency,' he says." (story)
