<p>I suppose it's easiest to think of the young women who contort themselves as part of their warm-up routine in <a href="http://www.mschwarzer.com/" target="_blank">M. Schwarzer</a>'s <em>Garde &amp; Mariechen</em> as folk cheerleaders.
